One of the most rewarding parts of directing a production with the same students that I have in class – is to see them put the ideas we have gone over in class to practical application in the production. Although it may be a reflection of vanity (and certainly I am not above this), I like to see the my thoughts on acting and play-making go from being just a test question or a game played to win a grade on a scene in class to something that is genuinely utilized in telling the story of a full play.
