After teaching theatre for over 37 years, I retired as of August 1, 2020. It was a wonderful ride and is full of such good memories. What I would like to do is to convert this blog that originally was a diary of all my class doings - and make it now a daily reflection on what it is like to be retired and some of the highlights that have stayed with me from the theatre classroom. I am a nervous, fluttering hen that has been sitting on an egg – trying to keep it warm and nurtured for the past three months. I have staved off the wolfs and the hyenas. I have protected it from the farmer who wanted to pluck it early, call it scrambled and have breakfast. I have kept the barnyard as clean as I can – while sitting on the egg – no easy task. Read more
