To Honor the Stage Manager

UnknownThis is the time of year that our seniors are stacking up the awards. Although the affair can be a bit overdone, it is still so smart to thank our seniors for thier hard work and perhaps more importantly set the bar for the next class. I wanted to honor the three performance students that our department chose this year with a brief transcript from the actual presentation. Although you do now know MaKenzy Clyne – if you are lucky – you have a stage manager that is as essential to your program:

Our first recipient is a young lady who has become THE go-to-girl for everything that is happening in the department. She is actually in the know more the actual members of the faculty and at times we wonder why she hasn’t become a member of the faculty. She was bitten by the Stage Manager bug in her Junior year and has never looked backwards. She has gone on to Stage Manage seven more productions in two years of high school and conquered the behemoth of all productions to stage manage – Extravaganza. It is never a question of why or how with this young lady – it is just a matter of what, and when, and where is my Clearcom. This young lady is guaranteed to have something that most of the young artists in this audience can only DREAM of – – – – a consistent, paid, full time job in the arts. The theatre department’s first Bravo recipient MacKenzy Clyne.
