As I am now out and about during school hours, I see quite a lot of young people without their parents just roaming around the coffeeshops, smoothie places and other places of business. Perhaps they are just VERY young college students or INCREDIBLY old pre-schoolers, but they are out there oblivious to any school bells. As a die-hard rule-following teacher, I feel compelled to ask for their hall pass and proceed them to the dean’s office – but alas not EVERYONE carries a hall pass and I still haven’t found life’s dean’s office. So, for now, they are going to have to deal with my evil eye stare of shame. It HAS worked before. I am not sure if I still have it.
